By determining the average adhesion coefficient of adhesion and adhesion index assessed the impact of subinhibitory concentrations of silver nanoparticles and multiwall carbon nanotubes on the adhesive activity of standard strains and clinical isolates of Gram-negative bacteria: Pseudomonas aeruginosa and Escherichia coli. It has been established that co-culturing with metal nanoparticles leads to inhibition of adhesion activity of microorganisms. Adding multiwall carbon nanotubes in the meat-peptone broth enhances the adhesive properties of all investigated bacteria. Increased adhesiveness of bacteria in co-culture with multi-walled carbon nanotubes opens up prospects for use of these nanostructures prior cultivation of probiotic strains to improve their adhesion activity.
