When studying antithrombogenic properties of the vascular wall, one of the jugular veins was temporarily clipped in the body of animals. As a result, an increase of TBA-active products concentrations in plasma, accelerating of continuously flowing blood clotting process were observed. It is known that in order to correct violations arising from oxidative stress, drugs with antioxidant properties are now being actively investigated and used. Bear fat belongs to this group of drugs. Preliminary dietary intake of bear fat in the experimental animals reduces the concentration of TBA-PA in plasma, increases the potential anticoagulant blood plasma, thus helps to minimize the effects of ischemia.
